Janotta & Herner is hiring carpenters, ironworkers, concrete masons, drywallers, and sheet metal workers. Individuals who have skills across multiple trades are preferred. Our work area covers most of Northern Ohio, and the work week is typically between 40 and 50 hours. Prior experience on industrial/commercial construction projects is preferred, but not required. Starting pay will vary based on experience, with our minimum full-time pay starting at $20/hour plus benefits. A high school diploma is preferred, but not required. Job Requirements include, but are not limited to:
- Measure and mark cutting lines, shape, cut, and install materials to specified measurements, using hand, power, or powder actuated tools.
- Follow established safety rules.
- Study specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
- Operating vehicles and equipment.
- Occasionally lift 50+ pounds, frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Frequent standing and walking, sometimes across rough or uneven surfaces.
- Climbing, kneeling, bending and overhead reaching.
- Working at heights.
