Firelands Regional Medical Center - Sandusky, Ohio Have you ever tried to make a bed while you were still in it? The main challenge for JHI when taking on this project, was to allow the unit to operate at full capacity while our crew was working. Dust levels had to be controlled and wet mopping of the floors was often required several times a day. Temporary partition walls had to be erected and then torn down dozens of times during the project. Planning and coordinating this type of project can be an overwhelming challenge. Thankfully, the Firelands nursing staff was very understanding and helped to make this project a success. The entire project consisted of over 15,000 SF of renovation that included removal of existing walls, construction of new walls, and the installation of cabinets for nurse's stations. Firelands management is extremely happy with the finished product even though it took three months more than scheduled due to work stoppages directed by FRMC. The original 15 phase work schedule ended up increasing to 25 phases. Hats off to our JHI crew for once again, "Exceeding the clients expectations". |
